Job summary

rapportintl is seeking qualified interpreters for in-person interpretation with our Nebraska clients in the Omaha area. We particularly need Kurdish interpreters who can help non-English speakers access essential services.

Applicants must be fully bilingual, able to travel to appointments locally, and willing to work as independent contractors with flexible hours. Vaccination proof and confidentiality compliance are required; background checks and drug screens apply.

Qualifications

• Fully bilingual
• Excellent communication and listening skills
• Familiarity with medical terminology
• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality/HIPAA compliance
• In-person interpreters only; must have transportation to attend appointments locally
• Technical skills for learning/using online portal (printing and uploading vouchers required)
• Must have access to a printer
• Interpreting experience and/or certification preferred
• Background checks and drug screens required
• Schedule is PRN (as needed), part time (or less depending on languages spoken) and is flexible based on interpreter's availability and preferences; must have some availability M-F 7AM-5PM

• Schedule is PRN (as needed), part time (or less depending on languages spoken) and is flexible based on interpreter's availability and preferences. However, applicants must have some availability M-F 7AM-5PM as this is when services are typically needed.

Please note, this is an independent contractor position with flexible hours. Hours are not guaranteed and are based on availability, languages spoken and client needs.
