Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Site Reliability Engineer for the Kubernetes Platform to support its Starshield satellite constellation project.

The role demands expertise in automation, Kubernetes management, and close collaboration with software engineers to ensure scalable software products. Ideal candidates should have strong technical skills in Linux, Python, and containerization technologies, with 1+ years of related professional experience.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of professional experience in site reliability engineering or DevOps.
• 1+ years of professional experience with Linux operating systems.
• Experience with containerization technologies, such as Kubernetes.
• Experience scripting in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
• Development experience in Python, C++, or Go.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation to deploy and manage on-premise Kubernetes clusters.
• Deploy and manage core infrastructure, such as databases and monitoring.
• Collaborate with software engineers to create scalable, maintainable products.
• Engage in the lifecycle of services from design to operation.
• Monitor and ensure high availability of systems.
