Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Manager of Engineering to lead and grow the cloud-native Kubernetes platform within our Cloud Technology Group Compute division in Providence, RI.

You will guide a team delivering scalable, reliable, and secure cloud services on our Kubernetes-based platform. You will partner with product management and leadership to drive strategic roadmaps, ensure operational excellence, and foster an inclusive, high-performance culture.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software development with leadership experience.
• Proven track record in Cloud Native Platform Engineering.
• Experience building and operating highly available production services using Kubernetes.
• Expertise in CI/CD tooling.
• Strong hiring and people development skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading and growing a team of high-performing engineers building the cloud-native platform on Kubernetes.
• Partnering with product management and leadership to shape the strategic roadmap and execute on key platform milestones.
• Driving technical excellence, reliability, and security practices across the platform engineering organization.
• Mentoring engineers, supporting career growth, and fostering an inclusive, collaborative team culture.
• Managing delivery timelines, resources, and engineering operations in an Agile environment.
