Job summary

Peerless Technologies Corporation is seeking a Platform Engineer with a current TS/SCI clearance to design, implement, and improve our Kubernetes platform in Dayton, Ohio. You will evaluate the current setup, identify areas for improvement, and make changes to ensure efficiency, scalability, and security.

Responsibilities include prototyping solutions, applying IaC and CI/CD practices, and maintaining high availability through monitoring and proactive maintenance.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship required.
• Ability to obtain TS/SCI clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field.
• 5+ years of relevant work experience.
• In person in Dayton, Ohio; relocation assistance possible.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Motivation to learn new things in a dynamic environment.
• Ability to work independently and own segments of a project.

Responsibilities

• Design prototype and implement innovative solutions to enhance our Kubernetes platform capabilities.
• Utilize automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, and CI/CD practices to streamline processes and mitigate technical debt.
• Proactively ensure the platform's security, scalability, and reliability by implementing industry best practices and using appropriate tools.
• Ensure high availability and performance of platform deployments by improving monitoring, alerting, and proactive maintenance.
• Identify bottlenecks and optimize platform performance to meet growing organizational demands.
• Collaborate with development teams to gather requirements to drive platform innovation and continuous improvement.
• Provide progress reports and technical guidance to NASIC leadership and product owners as needed.
