Job summary

Peerless Technologies seeks a Kubernetes platform engineer to design, implement, and improve our Kubernetes platform using open-source and enterprise solutions. You will evaluate the current platform and make changes to ensure it remains efficient, scalable, and secure in a Dayton-based role.

This position offers in-person work in Dayton, Ohio, or a hybrid arrangement near Dayton, enabling regular office visits with no travel costs. US citizenship and TS clearance eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• US Citizenship with the ability to obtain a TS Clearance.
• Experience with Restful web services, server side languages (Go, NodeJS, Python).
• Experience with Git and Jira.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field.
• 3+ years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities

• Design prototype and implement innovative solutions to enhance our Kubernetes platform capabilities.
• Utilize automation, Infrastructure-as-Code, and CI/CD practices to streamline processes and Mitigate Technical Debt.
• Proactively ensure the platform's security, scalability, and reliability by implementing industry best practices and utilizing appropriate tools.
• Ensure high availability and performance of platform deployments by continually working to improve monitoring, alerting, and proactive maintenance.
• Identify bottlenecks and optimize platform performance to ensure scalability and meet the growing demands of the organization.
• Collaborate with development teams to gather requirements to drive platform innovation and to continually be looking for ways to improve existing offerings.
• Provide progress reports and technological guidance to NASIC leadership and product owners as needed.
