Kubernetes Platform Engineer

Everyone is trying to "harness the cloud," but not everyone knows how. As a senior platform DevOps engineer at Booz Allen, you will develop, manage, and secure a container platform that meets client needs and leverages cloud capabilities. You will support strategy and design, ensure standards are met throughout containerization, recommend resources to help clients adopt containers securely, and continue to strengthen your DevOps skills while supporting the development of critical cloud platforms. This position is located in Chantilly, VA.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in platform engineering, DevSecOps, or systems engineering within classified environments
• 5+ years of experience with AWS, including IAM, VPC, EC2, ELB/ALB/NLB, and CloudWatch
• 5+ years of experience with cloud environments, programming languages, and supporting CI/CD
• Experience operating production Kubernetes clusters
• Experience with Linux‑based systems such as RedHat or CentOS and scripting languages such as Python or Bash
• Experience creating technical documentation, system diagrams, and SOPs
• Knowledge of Kubernetes networking, container registry management, and image hardening approaches
• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
• HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have

• Experience supporting Intelligence Community mission partners
• Experience operating AWS EKS
• Knowledge of cloudnative tooling or vulnerability analysis concepts
• Knowledge of modernization frameworks used across mission programs

Salary

Salary range for this position is $77,600 to $176,000 (annualized USD). The posting will close within 90 days from the posting date.
