Hudson Manpower seeks a Kubernetes Platform Architect to provide technical leadership for enterprise-scale Kubernetes platforms, focusing on architecture, lifecycle automation, security, observability, resilience, and multi-cluster strategy. Qualifications

  • 10+ years in Infrastructure, Cloud, or Platform Engineering.
  • 5+ years hands-on with Kubernetes expertise.
  • CKA certification mandatory.
  • Strong focus on platform engineering for Kubernetes, not app dev.
  • Experience with Cluster API for provisioning, scaling, and automation.
  • Kubernetes security: RBAC, Secrets management, policies.
  • Observability: Prometheus/Grafana and centralized logging.
  • Strong AWS cloud experience with Kubernetes platforms.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and govern enterprise Kubernetes platforms for mission-critical apps.
  • Define Kubernetes reference architectures, platform standards, and lifecycle processes.
  • Lead cluster provisioning, upgrades, scaling, and decommissioning using Cluster API.
  • Design secure, highly available, multi-cluster Kubernetes environments.
  • Establish GitOps for configuration management and deployment automation.
  • Drive Kubernetes security governance, RBAC, secrets management, and policy enforcement.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability solutions.
  • Develop capacity planning, workload scheduling, and resource optimization.
  • Lead RCA and resolution of complex platform issues in networking, storage, security, and availability.
  • Design and validate backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity plans.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams.
  • Establish governance, tenancy, automation, and cost optimization across clusters.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to platform engineering teams.
  • Evaluate emerging Kubernetes technologies and drive modernization.

Role Overview

The Kubernetes Platform Architect will provide technical leadership for designing, implementing, and operating enterprise-scale Kubernetes platforms. The role focuses on platform architecture, lifecycle automation, security, observability, resilience, and multi-cluster strategy.

Must-Have Skills
  • 10+ years of Infrastructure, Cloud, or Platform Engineering experience.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with deep expertise in Kubernetes.
  • 5+ years of Kubernetes architecture experience.
  • Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) certification is mandatory.
  • Strong platform engineering experience with Kubernetes, rather than application development on Kubernetes.
  • Strong Kubernetes architecture knowledge including control plane, worker nodes, API Server, etcd, resource lifecycle management, and reconciliation patterns.
  • Strong experience with Cluster API (CAPI) for cluster provisioning, scaling, upgrades, lifecycle management, and infrastructure automation.
  • 7+ years of hands‑on experience with Kubernetes workloads including Pods, Deployments, StatefulSets, DaemonSets, Jobs, ConfigMaps, Secrets, and container lifecycle operations.
  • Strong Kubernetes networking experience including CNI, CoreDNS, Ingress Controllers, Gateway API, Load Balancers, Service Discovery, and Network Policies.
  • Experience with GitOps using Flux, Helm, Kustomize, and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
  • Strong Kubernetes security experience including RBAC, Service Accounts, Secrets Management, certificate management, and policy enforcement.
  • Experience with observability platforms such as Prometheus and Grafana, including centralized logging, monitoring, alerting, and performance management.
  • Experience with persistent storage including CSI drivers, Storage Classes, PV/PVC administration, and stateful workloads.
  • Experience designing disaster recovery, backup/restore, high availability, and resilient Kubernetes platforms.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across Kubernetes clusters, nodes, networking, workloads, scheduling, storage, authentication, and infrastructure.
  • Strong AWS cloud experience with Kubernetes platforms.

  • Design and validate Kubernetes backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions.
  • Collaborate with development, infrastructure, security, and DevOps teams.
  • Establish governance, tenancy models, automation, and cost optimization across Kubernetes clusters.
  • Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architectural guidance to platform engineering teams.
  • Evaluate emerging Kubernetes technologies and drive platform modernization.
