Job summary

State Street Corporation seeks an experienced Cloud Native Platform Engineer in Massachusetts to design and operate AKS-based platforms. You will enable scalable, secure containerized workloads, automate provisioning, and drive reliability using GitOps, Terraform, and Azure DevOps in a hybrid cloud environment.

You will collaborate with engineering, architecture, and product teams to advance platform governance and FinOps practices while ensuring compliance and security across enterprise

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of cloud engineering or related platform experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
• Strong expertise with Kubernetes, containers, and distributed systems.
• Proficient in Azure (AKS), multi-cloud exposure (AWS/GCP) a plus.
• Hands-on with DevOps tooling including ArgoCD, Terraform, Azure DevOps, and scripting.
• Operational experience with observability tools (Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry).
• Experience influencing platform/product roadmaps in partnership with Product Management.
• Solid background in cloud-native engineering concepts, performance optimization, security, and governance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate enterprise-grade AKS platforms for mission-critical workloads.
• Manage multi-cluster and multi-region deployments with high availability and DR strategies.
• Implement GitOps-based deployment models and CI/CD pipelines for Kubernetes workloads.
• Develop IaC solutions for Azure resources and AKS provisioning; automate operational workflows.
• Drive platform observability, incident management, RCA, and reliability improvements.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with Product, Architecture, and Business teams.

Role OverviewCharles River Development is looking for an experienced Cloud Native Platform Engineer. The successful candidate will be responsible for automating and streamlining our operations and processes, building and maintaining tools for deployment, monitoring, and operations as well as troubleshooting and resolving issues in our development, test, and production environments. Our ideal candidate is proficient with Kubernetes, container orchestration, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud platforms.
