Campus Overview

Kettering Health Dayton, formerly Grandview Medical Center, has been providing care to Dayton and surrounding communities for over 90 years. It offers over 20 specialties, including orthopedics, heart and vascular, surgery, and trauma services. The hospital has expanded its Emergency Department and heart & vascular services, including new catheterization and electrophysiology labs. It partners with Gem City Market to provide fresh produce and is one of the largest osteopathic teaching hospitals in the U.S. with 371 beds. KH Dayton has received several awards, including Top 100 Hospital and a Patient Safety Excellence Award from Healthgrades in 2019, and has earned an “A” from the Leapfrog Group.

Responsibilities & Requirements
Job Specific Duties:
  • Assess the extent of illness or injury to prioritize medical procedures.
  • Administer initial treatment at emergency scenes.
  • Assist in extricating trapped victims and transport patients to treatment centers.
  • Communicate with medical personnel via radio and telephone.
  • Complete patient care and billing reports.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of service areas, regulations, and medical procedures.
  • Properly use all provided medical equipment.
  • Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and company policies.
Operational Duties:
  • Perform assigned shift duties.
  • Maintain cleanliness of stations, vehicles, and equipment.
  • Complete incident and accident reports promptly.
  • Follow radio communication protocols.
  • Drive company vehicles according to policies.
Job Requirements:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Current Ohio EMS certification.
  • CPR certification.
  • Valid driver’s license with no more than four points and insurance approval.
  • Proctored skills and protocol testing without lapse annually.
