Description

SUMMARY

Bartenders must be at least 18 years old to serve liquor according to Montana State Law. They should be able to perform basic math, handle money, and operate POS systems. Knowledge of beer, wine, spirits, and standard drink recipes is required. The role involves social interaction and providing excellent service to guests.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve beverages promptly to guests and servers in assigned stations.
  • Maintain organization, think quickly, and stay composed under pressure.
  • Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, discretion, and honesty.
  • Follow all Montana State Liquor laws and alcohol awareness procedures.
  • Create a welcoming atmosphere and acknowledge guests promptly.
  • Upsell food and beverages professionally.
  • Mix and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks according to recipes.
  • Answer questions about drinks, ingredients, and preparation.
  • Take and process food and beverage orders accurately.
  • Assist with refilling drinks and handle cash transactions efficiently.
  • Communicate with staff to ensure smooth operations.
  • Keep the bar station clean and organized, and perform cleaning at shift end.
  • Adhere to sanitation and personal hygiene policies.
  • Follow policies on cash handling, and keep management informed of issues.
  • Maintain personal appearance and dedication to quality customer service.
  • Participate in cleaning projects and maintain a team effort.
  • Complete prep work and give a warm farewell to guests.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
