Job summary

SWJ Technology in Vance, AL is seeking a KSP Planner to develop layouts, processes, and sequencing concepts for off-line pre-assembly. You will coordinate with manufacturing, logistics, and engineering to ensure efficient flow and timely delivery to the assembly line.

The role requires strong knowledge of layout planning, takt-driven production, and ergonomic considerations, with close collaboration across functions and suppliers. This is a on-site contractor position in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Industrial/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing layouts or process planning.
• Experience with pre-assembly, sequencing, material supply, or related areas.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain layouts for off-line pre-assembly and sequencing areas.
• Define process flows and arrange workstations, equipment, and staging areas.
• Determine space and capacity based on volumes and takt requirements.
• Plan movement of components to delivery points on the line.
• Develop material-flow concepts to minimize movement and handling.
• Coordinate with line planners, logistics, engineering, and quality teams.
