Job summary

KSL Media Group in Salt Lake City is seeking outgoing, energetic part-time events and promotions assistants to represent KSL at community events, promotions, and activations across the Salt Lake area. You’ll set up our presence and engage audiences to explain KSL’s brands and products.

As a brand ambassador, you’ll help educate attendees about better media experiences, capture content for social channels, and support events from setup to breakdown.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license.

KSL is looking for outgoing, energetic, and personable individuals to join our team as part-time events and promotions assistants! In this role, you’ll represent the KSL family of brands at community events, promotions, and activations throughout the Salt Lake area. These include, but are not limited to, live TV and radio broadcasts, live web show and podcast streaming, sporting event activations, concert series, holiday parties, movie release parties, press events and more. As an events and promotions assistant, you’ll be one of the faces of KSL at these events. You’ll be tasked with helping to setup our presence and then engaging with audiences to represent KSL and help them understand our brands, products and how KSL should be a part of their media consumption. Our events and promotions assistants will serve as brand ambassadors of KSL to educate and excite event attendees about KSL’s better media mission. Note: Work configurations are subject to change based on business needs and at company discretion. This position is an onsite role that will require you to attend events and brand activations in person. Events and promotions assistants are part of a team and will not have regularly scheduled hours. Instead, this is a flexible position that allows you to sign up to help with events when you have availability.

What You Will Do

Primary job duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Learn and understand KSL’s products: Be able to answer questions and help the community understand how KSL Media’s products make Utahns lives better and easier.
• Represent the KSL brand: Be a friendly, enthusiastic, and professional representative of KSL at events, promotions, and community activations.
• Engage with the public: Interact with event attendees, start conversations, and share the message of better media experiences through KSL products.
• Support events: Assist with event preparation, setup, execution, and breakdown to help ensure each event runs smoothly.
• Capture content: Assist with capturing photos, videos, and other content for digital and social media when needed.

Skills and Experience We Are Looking For

• 18 years of age or older with a valid driver's license and clean driving record Maintain a valid driver’s license. Energetic individual with a passion for events, marketing and people High school diploma required Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written Able to work in a fast-paced environment Comfortable in engaging with strangers Proven ability to initiate and work independently, if necessary, and operate effectively in high-pressure, time-sensitive situations Project a pleasant, energetic, businesslike image while representing the company. Work effectively with the public, clients, hosts, and other employees Proven ability to be a self-starter, and handle stress. Work in compliance with Company policies and procedures Work effectively in a team environment Capable and willing to solve unexpected issues that may arise and be able to perform last minute adjustments. Physical Demands

• Receive, process, and maintain information through oral and/or written communication effectively.
• Manual dexterity and fine motor skills to operate computer keys and general office equipment.
• Sit and/or stand for extended periods of time.
• Lift, move, and carry up to 40 pounds on occasion.

Compensation

$16.00-19.00. Hourly rate to be determined by multiple factors including but not limited to evaluation of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant along with internal equity and alignment with market data.
