Job Summary

The Night Show Host & Multimedia Content Creator is a key part of the KSBJ Programming Team. This person will lead a dynamic, daily radio show while also creating content that reaches and connects with listeners across digital platforms. From short‑form video to podcasting and social engagement, this role exists to build spiritual connection and authentic community through every form of media. The ideal candidate embraces a “multi‑media view of their show”, always thinking about how their show is a multi‑media show and not confined to just one form of media. When preparing for each show, on air and digital platforms integrate seamlessly. Nighttime show hours onsite 7:00 PM‑Midnight Monday through Saturday (voice track possible on Saturday).

Essential Functions
On Air Show
  • Create an on‑air experience that draws listeners in and builds relationship.
  • Confidently share spiritual truth and faith in a context that is easy to understand.
  • Generate ideas for on‑air execution.
  • Participate in annual fundraisers across brands as needed.
  • Enthusiastically support fundraising model.
Show Prep
  • Develop compelling, audience‑focused content and conversations that connect with our target listener – both on air and across digital platforms.
  • Embrace a multimedia mindset in daily show prep, always asking: What’s the digital application? What’s the social post, reel, blog, or podcast angle?
  • Tailor stories and segments for radio first, then adapt and extend them for Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, podcast platforms, and beyond.
  • Collaborate proactively with video and social media teams to build content that has broader reach and deeper emotional resonance.
Digital Content Creation & Audience Engagement
  • Extend the voice of the afternoon show through weekly digital content – including podcasts, short‑form video, blog posts, and social media storytelling – all aligned with KSBJ’s brand voice and show themes.
  • Plan and create original content (reels, video shorts, audio clips, behind‑the‑scenes footage, etc.) for platforms like Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok, and podcast apps.
  • Engage with listeners authentically across digital platforms, fostering community through comments, conversations, and ministry‑minded responses.
  • Collaborate with other departments (video, digital, marketing, donor engagement) to align show content with broader ministry initiatives and deepen its emotional impact.
  • Always approach the show as a multimedia experience – radio, digital, and social working together to build connection, grow community, and go beyond the airwaves.
Demonstrated Faith
  • Committed to a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; be spiritually grounded and Biblically literate.
  • Comfortable praying for co‑workers in team meetings, leading spoken prayer, and participating in ministry prayer meetings and Bible studies.
  • Living by the Christian principles defined by the Ministry Statement of Faith.
  • Participates in on‑air fundraisers and prays for donors as needed.
  • Has a passion for leveraging the platform of radio for evangelism and discipleship.
  • Exhibits a strong moral character.
  • Is an active member of a Bible‑believing local church.
  • Attends weekly Hope Huddle and team meetings for prayer and devotions.
  • Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ; is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ; maintains a courteous, Christ‑like attitude in dealing with people within and outside of the organization.
