Job description

Overview

A busy family of five in Tribeca is seeking a full-time nanny/family assistant who enjoys an early morning start to help keep their family on track. While the primary focus will be on a three-year-old girl, there are two teenagers (15 and 17 years old) who are pretty self-sufficient, but may need some extra support from time to time. The schedule would be 7am-2/3pm, Monday through Friday. 40 hours per week will be guaranteed. The daughter will be attending school from 1-4pm. The family is hiring immediately.

Note: The family will be expanding their apartment next year to add on an extra space. At that time, there would be a private room available. If the candidate wanted to live-in now, this is also an option, however, they would be sharing a room with the toddler for the time being.

Responsibilities
  • Morning arrival by 7am, preparing for a smooth and structured day
  • Engaging and developmentally appropriate activities tailored to a toddler
  • Preparing healthy meals for the toddler and occasional meals for two teenagers (ages 15 and 17 years old)
  • Light housekeeping duties, including toddler laundry and playroom organization, and kitchen tidiness and anything involving the children
  • Creating a safe, loving, and enriching environment
Qualifications
  • Energetic, yet calm under pressure
  • Thoughtful, joyful, and present
  • Proactive and solutions-oriented
  • Treats the role as a profession, with pride in their work and care
  • Brings creativity, positivity, and enthusiasm to each day.
  • A true "do-er," this person should be organized, dependable, and flexible, with a no-job-too-small attitude.
Requirements
  • Legal to work in the US
  • Passport ready, not expiring within six months
  • Meal prep/cooking for children, as needed
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends if needed
  • Ability and willingness to travel frequently (Winter in Florida, Summer out East and abroad)
  • Comfortable offering guidance and oversight to two well-mannered teenagers
  • Spanish speakers are a plus, as the child will be in a bilingual preschool
Salary and Benefits

The family is offering a competitive salary of $40-45/hr+, depending on experience.

Benefits offered are:

  • Medical, after 3 months
  • Paid Time Off
