Responsibilities

• Read work orders or follow verbal instructions to determine materials to be moved
• Feed, remove, flex, jog, and stack printed sheets, folded signatures, labels, or other in-process products to and from equipment
• Load and unload materials onto/from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand; load materials into trucks and secure them for transit
• Convey materials from storage or work sites to designated areas using hand trucks, electric dollies, or other devices
• Count, weigh, and record the number of units of materials handled daily
• Attach labels or tags to materials and mark information on containers
• Stack or assemble materials into bundles and band them using banding machines and clinchers
• Operate automated equipment and industrial trucks or hoists to assist in loading or moving materials

Qualifications

• Knowledge of warehouse layout, item identification codes, procedures, and storage areas
• Ability to stock, move, and organize items per instructions
• Experience completing stock forms and labeling requirements
• Skill in using shrink-wrap, strapping equipment, powered lift equipment, pallet jacks, and hand tools
• Optional skill in operating forklift trucks
• 2-5 years of work experience in manufacturing, preferably in printing or with bindery machines
• Computer proficiency required
• Physical ability to lift, pull, and push up to 50 lbs occasionally and 35 lbs frequently; ability to bend, reach, and stand for extended periods

Compensation and Benefits

The pay range for this role at the specified location is $18.20 to $26.80 per hour, with actual pay based on education, skills, experience, and other factors.
