Position Overview

Kiewit Power Engineers is seeking a motivated Substation Engineer to join our growing Substation team in the Power Delivery department in Columbus, OH. You will support a variety of substation, transmission, and distribution projects ranging from 12kV to 500kV, including detailed engineering design and EPC projects for clients nationwide.

Responsibilities
  • Provide project coordination and engineering oversight on assigned substation projects.
  • Develop specifications for procurement, installation, and testing of substation equipment.
  • Use engineering software for ground grid design, equipment sizing, relay coordination, and electrical studies.
  • Communicate and coordinate project activities with project managers, clients, and stakeholders.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
  • At least seven years of engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of standards such as NEC, NESC, NEMA, IEEE, and ANSI.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Legal eligibility to work in the United States.
