Job summary

KeyBank is seeking a Trust and Estate Analyst to support fiduciary administration for Key Private Bank clients and beneficiaries. You will collaborate with specialty teams to attract and retain clients while maintaining high fiduciary standards and risk controls.

The role involves servicing trust and agency accounts, interpreting legal instruments, and building relationships with attorneys and accountants to deepen client engagement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business-related field preferred; fiduciary knowledge required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial services or client service roles.
  • Progress toward, or completion of, Cannon Trust Schools I-III or equivalent fiduciary training.
  • Strong fiduciary judgement and adherence to regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Trust and Estate Settlement Officer on fiduciary and agency accounts; may be primary contact for some relations.
  • Review and maintain client information on trust accounting systems.
  • Apply fiduciary judgement to trust matters and recommend solutions.
  • Analyze and interpret legal instruments to determine trustee duties.
  • Develop relationships with clients, beneficiaries, and service providers to grow accounts.
  • Maintain effective teamwork and ensure timely administration of accounts.
  • Mitigate risk by complying with KeyBank policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide backup coverage to team members and support ongoing compliance.

Location:4900 Tiedeman Road, Brooklyn OhioJob SummaryThe Trust and Estate Analyst provides trust administration support and fulfils fiduciary responsibilities by providing basic trust administration for Key Private Bank (KPB) clients and their beneficiaries. While serving on the KPB Specialty Teams and within the relationship management team, collaborates effectively and provides insight and solutions to attract, retain and grow clients. Actively manages trust and agency accounts, in accordance with established policies and procedures to a high professional standard while managing fiduciary risk. Retains and deepens profitable client relationships within assigned revenue base. Where appropriate, may focus on an area of specialty trust expertise. Successfully identifies opportunities to enhance client relationships while using proper channel management.Essential FunctionsWorks in partnership with a Trust and Estate Settlement Officer on assigned fiduciary and agency accounts to administer settlements. May serve as primary contact for some account relationships.Reviews and maintains client information on trust accounting system and all applicable vendor systems.Applies sound fiduciary judgement to trust mattersDiscovers, analyzes and researches client transactions and recommend solutions as needed.Analyzes and interprets legal instruments to determine duties and responsibilities of bank as Trustee.Develops relationships with clients/beneficiaries and their service providers, such as attorneys and accountants, etc., to grow/maintain relationships. May involve proactive client outreach.Builds and maintains effective working relationships with other team members/partners to ensure high quality and timely administration of assigned accounts.Leads by example and demonstrates client focus and teamwork towards both clients and KeyBank employees. Provides back-up to other team members.Mitigates risk by servicing accounts in compliance with KeyBank policies and procedures, as well as with regulatory and legal requirements.Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without noticeComplies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key.EducationBachelor's Degree in business-related field (preferred)General knowledge and understanding of fiduciary, financial and/or investment products and servicesOR equivalent experience (required)Work ExperienceA minimum of 3 years experience working within the financial industry or other client service roles. Placement within the pay range may differ based upon various factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and geographic location.
