Job description

Overview

A high-profile individual is seeking a part-time personal assistant on the Upper East Side. Candidates should be willing to work out of the principal’s UES home, even though the principal will spend the majority of their time in Palm Beach, FL. The schedule will typically be 9:00am-5:00pm, 3 days per week, and candidates may specify their preference in terms of which days they prefer to work. Additional hours maybe required from time to time when the principal entertains or requires last-minute bookings or other.

Responsibilities
  • Working collaboratively with the houseman and housekeepers, sorting through mail, writing checks, receiving packages, managing vendors and troubleshooting repairs and maintenance (both indoor and outdoor), forwarding tax and accounting issues to the principal’s accountant (no accounting/bill pay required), arranging travel for the principal, managing the principal’s social calendar, managing dinner parties (including engaging caterers, wait staff etc.), and more.
  • There may be very occasional travel to Palm Beach, or other domestic and international locations (e.g. Paris, London), so candidates must be passport-ready.
  • This is a formal home with lots of antiques and art, so candidates should be polished and professional gatekeepers
Qualifications
  • Candidates should be discreet, low-key, seasoned professionals, exceptionally proactive and patient, and happy working independently
  • Must be extremely well versed in tech - only tech savvy candidates should apply to this opportunity
  • Must be adept at managing travel itineraries and social calendars
  • Must be pet friendly (there are 2 cats)
  • Superlative, verifiable, and preferably long-term references
Requirements
  • US passport, Green Card or EAC
  • Clean and current driving record

Salary and Benefits
  • $50-$55+/hr + overtime after 40 hours.
