Job summary

Melaleuca: The Wellness Company in Knoxville is seeking a Full-Time, 1st Shift Production Team Member with light industrial experience including product packaging in a high-volume manufacturing environment. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30AM - 3:00PM.

Essential duties include setting up work areas, operating filling and sealing equipment, labeling, palletizing, cleaning, and quality inspections. Candidates should be able to lift 65 lbs and work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Set up work area by retrieving production components and sterilizing surfaces.
• Fill bottles by operating filling machinery or manually.
• Work at filling machine to produce finished product.
• Cap bottles, operate sealer and related equipment.
• Label products and prepare pallets for shipping.
• Clean equipment and work areas, wash floors, and maintain workstations.
• Inspect quality of own work including label placement and batch numbers.
• Assist in training other associates as needed.
• Record information on batch sheets, cleaning logs and other reports.

Secure Work Environment – NO LAYOFFS We’re seeking a Full-Time, 1st Shift Production Team Member with light industrial experience including product packaging in a high-volume manufacturing environment.

Schedule: (Full-time) Monday-Friday, 6:30AM - 3:00PM

Requirements

Essential:

• Sets-up work area by retrieving production components (i.e., bottles, caps, pallets, products, rags, totes, etc.) and by sterilizing the tables and equipment, code dating individual bottles, etc.
• Uses personnel protective equipment where required.
• Fills bottles by operating filling machinery, or using manual process.
• Works at assigned Filling machine to produce finished product.
• Caps bottles by manually applying caps, operating a crimper, operating an air press machine, etc.
• Labels specified products by applying the label in appropriate location.
• Prepares pallets by filling totes, labeling totes with required information, loading pallets, moving pallets with pallet jacks to the correct area, etc.
• Lifts finished product in totes onto pallets, onto a table or onto a shelf.
• Performs clean‑up duties by washing equipment, sweeping & mopping the floors, emptying the garbage, wiping down workstations with IPA and buckets, etc.
• Sets‑up and operates the sealer by plugging in machinery, monitoring temperature to prevent explosions, capping bottles, washing bottles, boxing products, labeling boxes, etc.
• Inspects quality of own work for cleanliness, label placement, lids tight, correct batch numbers, etc.
• Assists in training other associates as needed by demonstrating tasks, answering questions, etc.
• Monitors quality by wiping excess product from containers, checking silk‑screened labels, count on boxes, stacking of pallets, and by verifying that labels are correctly placed.
• Completes personal reports by recording information (i.e., individual performance, batch sheets, cleaning logs, labeling, amounts, OTC product forms, component returns sheet to warehouse, etc.).
• Assists in machine tear down, cleaning and set‑up, etc.

Qualifications

Essential:

• Ability to work independently
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lift a minimum of 65 lbs. Must be able to lift boxes/totes from the floor, to a pallet or onto the Product Delivery line
• Standing and walking for duration of 8-hour shift; ability to climb stairs
• Pulling, stretching, bending, and lifting for duration of shift
• Ability to organize and coordinate projects
• Manual dexterity for such duties as collating, sorting, filling, toting, etc.
• Ability to read, write and perform basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide, etc.)
• Work overtime as needed
