Job summary

US Tech Solutions seeks an experienced Android Software Engineer to join a collaborative product engineering team. You will design and build engaging, data-driven mobile experiences using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and the Android SDK, collaborating with Product, UX/UI, QA, and engineering teams.

This six-month contract role emphasizes scalable features, API integration, code quality, and modern Android practices across the development lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 3-4+ years of professional software engineering experience for an Intermediate-level position or 5+ years for a Senior-level position.
• Strong hands-on experience developing Android applications using Kotlin.
• Professional experience with Jetpack Compose.
• Strong knowledge of the Android SDK and modern Android development practices.
• Experience working with Git and GitHub, including branches, commits, pull requests, merges, and conflict resolution.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain Android application features using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and the Android SDK.
• Translate product and design requirements into scalable, intuitive, and robust mobile experiences.
• Collaborate with Product, UX/UI, QA, and Engineering teams throughout the development lifecycle.
• Participate in technical discussions, design reviews, and code reviews to maintain high-quality engineering standards.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following modern Android development practices.
• Integrate and work with APIs and backend services to support application functionality.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application defects and technical issues.
• Use Git/GitHub for source control, including branching, committing, pushing changes, merging, resolving conflicts, and collaborating through code reviews.
