Job summary

Food Service International (FSI) is Uwajimaya’s wholesale food service and distribution arm, serving restaurants and businesses across the Pacific Northwest. The role develops and grows a restaurant customer base with regular communications in a dynamic warehouse environment.

The position requires Korean fluency, and experience in restaurant management, marketing or sales is preferred. Competitive wages, benefits, and opportunities for advancement are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent with 3–4 years of experience in area of specialization.
• Fluency in Korean is required to effectively communicate with customers, vendors, and business partners.
• Knowledge of Asian products preferred.
• Restaurant management, marketing and sales experience preferred.
• Excellent customer service.
• Basic math skills.
• Flexible schedule.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Call customers regularly to establish a good working relationship and drive future sales.
• Maintain current customer base and gain new customers through excellent sales service.
• Gather client information to understand market demand and conditions.
• Check accounts receivable bi-monthly for past due invoices.
• Coordinate with sales staff to visit past due accounts or arrange payments.
• Be aware of critical items to anticipate shortages.
• Provide excellent customer service and build strong relationships to grow business.
• Resolve customer complaints promptly; escalate to management if needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
