Korean Reviewer/Editor/Certifier, DOJ LSS

This position involves supporting the Department of Justice (DOJ) with Translation, Interpretation, Transcription, and other Linguistic Support Services (LSS). Responsibilities include translating documents and media content, providing court and deposition interpretation, and handling materials with complex legal, scientific, and technical terminology. All materials are considered sensitive, requiring strict confidentiality.

Requirements:

• Minimum of five (5) years of experience in the required language and superior skills in English and editing.
• ILR 4 or equivalent scores in language/translation tests.
• Resided in the U.S. for at least 3 of the last 5 years.
• At least 1 year of experience working with law enforcement or legal departments.
• U.S. citizenship.
• Fluent in both English and the foreign language, including legal and colloquial vocabularies.
• Proficient in translation resources and research skills.
• Native-level fluency in their language, with professional command of the other language.
• Accurate translation that preserves tone and register.
• Adherence to linguist ethics.
• Proficient in SDL Trados Studio and other CAT tools.

Additional Details:

• Active Public Trust or higher security clearance required.
• Remote work possible; also available in various CONUS locations.
• Some travel may be required.
