Job summary

Institute for the Study of War (ISW) offers Fall 2026 internships, including in-person, remote, and hybrid options. Interns work with analysts on open-source collection and analysis, with training and mentorship across multiple portfolios.

The program emphasizes policy-relevant research and opportunities to engage with senior staff. Internship is full-time (five days per week) with potential for part-time arrangements; ideal for college students or recent graduates with Korean language

Qualifications

• Current student or recent graduate with related research experience.
• Excellent writing and editing skills.
• Strong English communication and ability to convey complex ideas clearly.
• Prefer language capabilities in Korean; other languages are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily collection and analysis of open-source information in native sources.
• Contribute to the weekly Korean Peninsula Update with ISW researchers and CDOT at AEI.
• Assist with editing, documenting, and compiling materials for publications.
• Support planning and execution of public events and private briefings.
