Interlingva, Inc. is seeking a Korean Interpreter for Sacramento-based assignments. This independent contractor position offers a flexible schedule and ongoing opportunities in healthcare settings.

The interpreter will provide professional interpreting services, primarily in healthcare, with assignments based in Sacramento and available regularly based on demand and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Fluency in both Korean and English.
• Experience providing accurate interpretation in medical, legal, and community settings with fidelity to the original communication.
• Strong ability to interpret orally between Korean and English in both directions.
• Ability to work with diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
• Combination of formal interpreter training and/or relevant professional experience.
• Must be based in Sacramento Area.
• Willingness to obtain required medical clearances, including vaccination/immunization records and background checks.
• Possession of a valid California license.

Job Description
This is an independent contractor position offering a flexible work schedule and ongoing opportunities.

The interpreter will provide professional interpreting services primarily in healthcare settings. Assignments are based in Sacramentoand are available on a regular basis, depending on the demand for specific languages and the interpreters qualifications.

Qualifications

• Fluency in both Korean and English
• Demonstrated experience providing accurate, complete, and clear interpretation in medical, legal, and community settings, with the highest level of fidelity to the original communication
• Strong ability to interpret orally between Korean and English in both directions
• Proven ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
• Skilled in meeting the communication needs of medical professionals, patients, government agencies, community organizations, and internal stakeholders
• Combination of formal interpreter training and/or relevant professional experience
• Must be based in Sacramento Area
• Willingness to obtain required medical clearances, including vaccination/immunization records and background checks, as necessary
• Possession of a valid California license
