Job summary

KPOT Korean BBQ & Hot Pot in Riverside, IL is looking for a friendly Busser to support the front-of-house and keep the dining area running smoothly.

You will greet guests, assist with seating, clear and reset tables, and coordinate with the team to maintain a fast-paced, guest‑focused environment. Previous restaurant experience is not required but preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–10 hours per shift).
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25–50 pounds.
• Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive movements in a fast-paced environment.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong communication and a passion for delivering world‑class service at every touchpoint.
• Comfortable working around grills and hot cooking surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests promptly and warmly upon arrival.
• Answer guest questions regarding the menu and KPOT brand.
• Provide accurate information regarding menu, pricing, hours, promotions, and policies.
• Listen attentively to guests to ensure their needs are met.
• Assist with side work and opening/closing tasks.
• Observe and monitor table turnover by taking note of occupied, dirty or clean tables.
• Support the front-of-house team in resetting tables quickly to seamlessly transition tables to guests.
• Assist with inventory management and restocking supplies as needed.
• Manage time to ensure that all trash is discarded in a timely manner and all dishes are ready for use.
• Maintain a positive, energetic, and hospitality-focused attitude at all times.
• Multi-task and balance between bar and dining room orders.
• Be a team player, assisting other team members whenever needed to ensure guest satisfaction.
• Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
• Additional responsibilities as assigned.
