Job summary

Lericon Informatics in the United States seeks a skilled KONG API Integration Engineer to join our technology team. The ideal candidate will design, implement, and maintain robust API integrations using KONG Gateway and related middleware systems.

You will lead end-to-end integration projects, manage middleware, and collaborate with architects to adopt event-driven patterns, API design principles, and fraud domain knowledge.

Qualifications

• Event Pattern architecture and implementation experience.
• REST API service coding and design experience.
• Old-to-New API migrations are preferred.
• Strong knowledge of KONG API Gateway.
• Middleware API design and architecture knowledge.
• Fraud domain knowledge.
• Understanding of SAS System architecture.
• Ability to manage content switching and parallel workstreams.
• Excellent communication with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement REST API services following event-driven patterns.
• Lead end-to-end KONG API integration including configuration, routing, plugins, and policy management.
• Own and manage middleware systems as the primary point of accountability.
• Migrate and modernize legacy API service architectures.
• Collaborate with architects on Middleware API design decisions.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to gather requirements and provide status updates.
• Handle technical aspects end-to-end from design to deployment.
