Kona Ice of South Platte River and SE Aurora is seeking an Event Specialist/Driver to bring smiles to local schools, festivals, and community events. You’ll drive a Kona Entertainment Vehicle, serve shaved ice, and help set up at events with a friendly, can‑do attitude.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of driving experience with a clean driving record.
• Ability to safely operate large vehicles; food truck or towing experience a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Energetic, outgoing and able to connect with people of all ages.
• Weekend, Early Afternoon/Evening and Holiday availability.
• Must lift up to 25 lbs and pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Represent the Kona Ice brand with outstanding customer service.
• Drive and operate Kona Ice trucks, spreading fun at events.
• Set up and run events from start to finish.
• Take and process orders, ensuring customers leave with a smile.
• Keep KEVs and equipment spotless and running smoothly.
• Manage inventory, cash handling, and closing procedures.
• Collaborate with the team to create a fun work environment.
• Offer feedback to improve the Kona Ice experience.

What You’ll Do:

• Be the life of the party! Represent the Kona Ice brand with outstanding customer service and a contagious positive attitude.
• Drive and operate our iconic Kona Ice trucks, spreading fun and tropical vibes wherever you go.
• Set up and run events like a pro, ensuring everything runs smoothly from start to finish.
• Take and process orders with ease, ensuring every customer leaves with a smile and a delicious treat.
• Keep our KEVs and equipment spotless and running like new, maintaining Kona Ice’s high standards.
• Manage inventory, cash handling, and closing procedures after each event.
• Collaborate with our team to create a fun and supportive work environment.
• Offer feedback and ideas to improve the Kona Ice experience.
• Be flexible and ready to take on additional tasks as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

• Age 18+ with a valid driver’s license and at least 2 years of driving experience.
• A clean driving record and the ability to safely operate large vehicles (bonus points if you have food truck or towing experience!).
• A high school diploma or equivalent.
• Energetic, outgoing, and ready to connect with people of all ages.
• Strong multitasking and time management skills—you can handle the heat (literally and figuratively)!
• Physically capable of standing for long periods and lifting up to 25 lbs.
• Open availability, especially on weekends (because that’s when the fun happens!).

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age or older

Have a great driving record (no speeding tickets or moving violations in the last three [3] years)

Experience driving large vehicles

Weekend availability

Early Afternoon/Evening availability

Holiday availability

Must be able to lift 25-pounds & climb up/down into a Kona truck (2 ft step)

Must be able to pass a background check

Must enjoy working with children
