Job summary

NEXPERA is seeking an Operator I to operate a HARDTAC Potassium Hydroxide production facility in Romeoville, IL. You will manage plant processes via HMI, monitor instrumentation, and perform routine QA/QC tests to ensure product quality.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent with the ability to read, write and comprehend English.
• Must have the ability to perform basic math equations.
• One to two years experience in a related position and environment.
• Must demonstrate proficiency in the care and use of PPE including respirators, gas detectors, etc.
• Must demonstrate ability to operate assigned machines and equipment meeting or exceeding targets.

Responsibilities

• Monitors tank levels, flow meters, gauges, flow rates, pressures and related controls via HMI.
• Collects unit, product and feedstock samples and performs routine tests (fluoride, specific gravity, pH, KOH titration).
• Records data and maintains quality control records.
• Maintains inventory of stores, supplies and equipment spares.
• Enters data into databases and processes forms for trucking/shipping paperwork.
• Performs maintenance and minor repairs on plant equipment and safety systems.
• Reports operational problems and non-conformances to supervisor.
• Participates in safety inspections and ensures proper waste disposal.
