Role Overview
We look for individuals who possess a broad understanding of cross functional touchpoints and their impacts within the Workday system to effectively develop solutions to complex problems/projects across multiple modules and clients. The role is responsible for leading the most complex and largest projects within the organization. This role partners with clients to understand strategic objectives related to HR technology including employee experience, business processes, data strategy, and service delivery. They drive high client satisfaction through these partnerships, building relationships with clients and delivering impeccable customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a subject matter expert in a variety of strategic and high-impact projects, guiding clients through strategic planning, implementation, and stabilization with no supervision.
- Lead multiple concurrent large, complex Workday solutions and projects for a global customer base. Design, configure, test, and implement business requirements across multiple Workday HCM module(s).
- Manage the project scope, quality, timeline, communication, and overall delivery to client. Provide guidance, instruction, direction, and coaching to team members, regardless of people management responsibilities. Review team members’ work as necessary to ensure quality.
- Conduct working sessions with clients to gather, understand, and analyze business requirements. Assess actual client needs and propose recommendations and/or alternative solutions to meet client goals.
- Advise clients on best practices, recognize, and recommend process improvements, and implement system enhancements.
- Deeply understand and consult to touch points, dependencies, and integration aspects across all area(s) of Workday to provide a comprehensive solution to clients.
- Understand different country regulatory and statutory requirements and how these can be met with Workday.
- Lead portions of client sales meetings as a Subject Matter Expert.
- Work with clients, Project Managers, and Team Leads to identify/resolve all issues that could impact project scope and/or Go Live; partner with Project Managers to ensure alignment across project plans and allocated budgets.
- Strive to innovate and suggest new approaches to deploy Workday efficiently and effectively.
- Contribute to knowledge management repository through formal and informal avenues, such as sharing documented lessons learned, Q&A, documented deliverables, facilitation of Workday knowledge sharing sessions, regularly posting best practices and knowledge sharing information to team(s) and mentoring and training junior team members.
- Work in a fast-paced environment that requires tasks to be completed quickly and accurately.
Qualifications
- 4+ years’ experience as a consultant leading and deploying Workday implementations or supporting Workday Post-Production / AMS Services.
- Deep knowledge of Workday Core HCM, Security and Reporting as well as at least one additional Workday module (Adv. Compensation, Payroll, Recruiting, Talent, Time Tracking, Absence, Learning, Benefits, Prism, BIRT).
- Ability to lead workstream(s) on large scale projects for the full project lifecycle – from initial scoping/planning, discovery, design, testing, and go live.
- Broad business and technology understanding and a deep awareness of industry trends in Enterprise Resource Planning, Human Resources, Finance, and/or Payroll.
- Proven ability to influence a wide variety of audiences, including clients, employees, and executive management.
- Demonstrated commitment and achievement to delivery excellence and client satisfaction; strong client focus with the ability to understand client needs and build relationships.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and colleagues in a remote working environment.
- Ability to prioritize and organize work to ensure overall timeliness and quality standards with little supervision.
- Experience managing global teams, whether in a people management or program/project management capacity.
- Proven ability to see around corners and understand both the big picture and individual needs.
- Understanding of scope and details of a project plan. Possess the ability to identify and communicate risks, issues, performance concerns, the need for resources, etc to internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience implementing complex business solutions under competing deadlines and priorities while keeping a high attention to detail.
- Ability to be effectively and actively leading multiple, concurrent projects.
- Willingness and ability to mentor and/or line manage other consultants.
- Able to come up with improvements in tools and/or processes to help the practice.
- Understanding the importance of client satisfaction and can apply it in the process of servicing the client.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to adapt to frequent change.
- Ability to meet travel requirements.

Compensation
The base pay range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill set, experience, education, certification/credentials, market data, internal equity, and office location, and other business and organizational needs. A reasonable estimate of range is $55,000 to $186,200 for CA, NY, and CO. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount varies based on factors described.
