Overview

A private and busy family living in the Hudson Yards is in search of a part-time, back up nanny for their newborn daughter. The baby was born in January and they had a newborn care specialist until recently when the full-time nanny started. They are looking for a part-time back up nanny. They are willing to guarantee hours for the right person.

Responsibilities
  • Be availableto step in and provide attentive and nurturing care for the child when the full-time caregiver is out.
  • Follow established routines and adjust as needed
  • Engage in activities that promote development, such as reading, singing, and age-appropriate outings
  • Provide guidance related to the child’s care while respecting the family’s personal preferences
  • Full-charge care, including bathing, feeding, and diapering
  • Child-related tidying up, including laundry and sterilizing bottles
Qualifications
  • Open and flexible schedule
  • Warm, nurturing, and kind demeanor
  • Understanding of infant development and ability to recognize and respond to infant needs
  • Dependable, trustworthy, and professional
  • Ability to work intuitively and collaboratively with the family
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience working with young children
  • CPR and First Aid certified
  • Up-to-date on all vaccines (COVID, RSV, TDap, Flu)
  • Excellent references
  • Legally authorized to work in the US
  • The ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally
