Overview

A busy return BritishAmerican client is searching for a fantastic live-in housekeeper to join their home. The role is Thursday to Monday from 8 am to 5 pm. The role will mainly be based in NYC but travel to the Hamptons and Florida is included as needed.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform deep cleaning of all household areas, ensuring impeccable standards of cleanliness and organization.
• Manage heavy laundry loads, including care for linens, delicate couture garments, and fine fabrics. Knowledge of fabric care, stain removal, and garment preservation is essential.
• Occasionally help with child care for the principal's grandson.
• Dinner party setup and service.
• Provide evening turn-down service, maintaining a welcoming and restful environment in bedrooms.
• Assist with household organization and support general upkeep tasks as needed.
• Maintain discretion and professionalism at all times while working in a private home.
• Be available and willing to travel with the family on occasion, providing housekeeping support while traveling.

Qualifications

• Willingness and happiness to travel
• Love for children and want to be part of a team
• Ability to read the room — this is not a role for someone chatty
• Driving experience would be a major plus
