Job summary

Voith Hydro Holding GmbH & Co. KG | VHZ is seeking a Knowledge Transfer Manager (m/f/d) for Global Engineering to lead target definition and project management for know-how and technology transfer across the global OTC engineering organization.

The role requires several years of international project management experience, expertise in knowledge transfer and IP protection, and excellent English communication.

Qualifications

• University degree in engineering or related field.
• Several years of project management experience in international technical environments.
• Sound knowledge of knowledge/technology transfer and IP protection.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to coordinate across sites and cultures.
• Very good command of English (written and spoken).
• High initiative and structured, solution-oriented working style.
• Willingness to travel internationally (10%).

Responsibilities

• Define target and manage projects for know-how/know-what transfer within the global OTC engineering organization and with external providers.
• Define targets for know-how transfer to external service providers, considering IP requirements.
• Establish and implement systematic skills mapping and training/knowledge transfer.
• Create and implement roadmaps for measures with on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Coordinate content and success criteria with regional management and technology units.
• Define learning objectives, prepare training materials, and document learning success.
• Coordinate with HR for commitments, labor law requirements, and compensation adjustments.
• Provide monthly global reporting with roadmaps and skill matrices.

Knowledge Transfer Manager (m/f/d) - Global Engineering

• Target definition and project management for know-why, know-how, and technology transfer within the global (OTC) engineering organization as well as with external service providers and partners.
• Target definition and project management of know-how and know-what transfer to external service providers and partners, considering IP protection requirements.
• Establishment and implementation of systematic skills mapping and training/knowledge/technology transfer to ensure growth and strategic positioning of the global (OTC) engineering organization.
• Creation and implementation of a roadmap for the required measures, in collaboration with the pitching and receiving engineering units and the technology organization; accountable for on-time and on-budget implementation.
• Cross-site, systematic coordination with regional management teams and the technology organization regarding content and success criteria (learning objectives).
• Definition of learning objectives, preparation of training materials and documentation of learning success within work packages, and selection of appropriate transfer formats (group training, on-the-job, short-term assignment, etc.).
• Coordination with P&C (HR) regarding necessary commitment agreements, labor law requirements, and compensation adjustments.
• Proactive follow-up of work packages and ensuring documentation of learning success.
• Preparation of global monthly reporting, including roadmaps and updates of skill matrices.

Your profile

• Successfully completed university degree in engineering, industrial engineering, technology management, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience in project management, ideally in an international technical environment.
• Sound knowledge in knowledge and technology transfer as well as IP protection.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to coordinate and motivate teams across different sites and cultural backgrounds.
• Very good command of English, both written and spoken.
• High level of initiative, structured and solution-oriented working style.
• High willingness to travel internationally (10%).

This position can be filled at any of our global Voith Hydro locations. The remote work policies will adhere to the regulations of the specific location where you are based - this is not a fully remote position.
