Job summary

Accenture plc is seeking a Manager-level knowledge engineer to lead ontology design, schema and taxonomy construction, and knowledge-graph work on a single engagement. You will drive retrieval-augmented generation and agent context engineering to make the knowledge actionable for AI-powered solutions.

As you progress to Senior Manager, you’ll shape methods across engagements, mentor teams, and collaborate with clients to deliver scalable AI-enabled outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience in knowledge engineering, semantic web, ontology design, or taxonomy/data modeling, with at least 1–2 years specifically on AI/LLM-based work.
• Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with knowledge graph technologies, including RDF, SPARQL, property graphs, and/or SHACL, and graph databases such as Neo4j, Amazon Neptune, or equivalent.
• AI-adjacent experience counts toward the bars above: strong credentials in the neighboring discipline combined with 1–2 years of hands-on LLM work is exactly the profile we grow.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience with retrieval-augmented generation and agent context engineering in production or near-production contexts.
• Minimum of 2 years leading a team or workstream within a larger program.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience working in agile engineering or consulting teams.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent (minimum 12 years) work experience (as described in the posting).

Responsibilities

• Lead ontology work on a single engagement: schema and taxonomy design, knowledge-graph construction, retrieval-augmented generation, and agent context engineering.
• Senior Manager level: hold authority across engagements and shape the method; expect interview-based fit.
• Travel may be required for this role (0–100% depending on business need).
