Job summary

A leading fashion retailer in Los Angeles is seeking a Design Intern to support the knitwear team. This role involves conducting market and fabric research, assisting in design updates, and attending fittings. The ideal candidate will have a passion for learning about the design process, knowledge of Adobe Suite, and be working towards a degree in fashion design. Qualifications

• Passion to learn about the design process from conception to production.

Responsibilities

• Assist with market research of competitors for inspiration and product opportunities.
• Research fabrics, finishes, and styling details for review by the Designer.
• Assist with design updates (sketches, line guides, PLM, buyer note updates).
• Attend fittings for all categories and take notes.
• Assist with fabric and trim approvals/organization.
• Conduct market research where applicable.

Skills

Knowledge of Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator)

Knowledge of basic apparel construction

Education

Current Design Student at a fashion design school
