Job summary

Fung Group in New York is seeking a design intern for a 5–6 month full-time role. You will develop CAD skills for prints, color, trend reports, and technical flats, while researching trends and supporting sourcing of yarn, trims, and components.

You’ll assist with mood boards, fittings, and creating tech packs for the Hong Kong team. The role emphasizes teamwork, communication, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced fashion environment.

Qualifications

• Professional, verbal and written communication required.
• Strong CAD skills with Photoshop/Illustrator.
• Understanding of knitted garment construction.
• Detail oriented with ability to multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Develop CAD skills for prints, color, trend reports, technical flats, and line sheets.
• Research and analyze trends in color, print, and pattern.
• Sourcing: yarn, buttons, beads, trims and other design components.
• Create mood/concept boards and participate in fittings.
• Compile tech packs and master sheets for Hong Kong team.
• Maintain showrooms and manage samples/logging.
