Job summary

Giro Pack, Inc (USA) in Vidalia, GA is seeking a Knitting Operator Trainee. Training is Monday–Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm; after training, you’ll work on 2nd shift (2:00 pm–10:00 pm) or 3rd shift (10:00 pm–6:00 am), Monday–Friday.

You’ll operate and maintain knitting machines for fruit/vegetable packaging, ensuring safety and efficiency across thirty machines and supporting production goals.

Qualifications

• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and safety-conscious.
• Willingness to learn and follow training during the initial period.
• Able to work a flexible schedule including multiple shifts.
• Must be able to work in Vidalia, GA.

Responsibilities

• Operate knitting machines safely and report issues promptly to supervisor/maintenance.
• Complete required production forms.
• Maintain/lubricate production machinery as needed.
• Stand for long periods and wear PPE as required.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Ensure knitting material and core material are stocked.
• Transport scrap materials to the assigned area.
• Scan/transport finished products to the assigned area.
• Contribute to other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
