The University of Oregon invites applications for the Philip H. Knight Chair in Biology, a tenured faculty position at the rank of Professor in Eugene, Oregon, with leadership across campus biology institutes and affiliated programs.

The successful candidate will advance genome science and biotechnology initiatives and help establish cross‑disciplinary programs. We seek an internationally recognized scholar whose work spans genome science and related fields, capable of building a prominent

Formación

• PhD or equivalent terminal degree in genomics or related field.
• Academic record suitable for tenure as Professor at University of Oregon.
• Internationally recognized research accomplishments.
• Sustained extramural funding for research.
• Excellence in teaching, mentoring and training.

Responsabilidades

• Contribute to undergraduate and graduate curricula in genomics and related areas.
• Mentor undergraduate, graduate students and postdocs; lead research training.
• Strengthen genomics across the university and affiliated centers.
• Help develop the new undergraduate major in Genome Science and Biotechnology.
• Provide intellectual leadership across biology, data science, and related disciplines.
