Job summary

ALPERTON Automotive Dealership is seeking an experienced Vehicle Technician to join its busy workshop. You will diagnose and repair faults, service vehicles to high standards, and use modern diagnostic tools to ensure first-time fixes.

The role offers a competitive base salary up to £44,000 with an approximate £60,000 OTE, plus ongoing manufacturer and EV training within a well-established dealership environment.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 or 3, City & Guilds or equivalent automotive qualification.
• Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.
• Proven ability to identify and resolve vehicle faults.
• Experience with electric or hybrid vehicles is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair vehicle faults accurately and efficiently.
• Carry out servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairs to a high standard.
• Use current diagnostic equipment and technical information to identify faults.
• Provide technical advice and support where required.
• Work to manufacturer and dealership standards and procedures.
• Complete work efficiently while maintaining a right-first-time approach.
• Maintain clear and accurate records of work carried out.
• Collaborate with the Aftersales team to keep vehicles moving.

We’re recruiting for an established automotive dealership in Alperton that is looking to strengthen its workshop team with an experienced Technician.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is a technical position within a busy dealership environment, suited to someone who can bring strong technical ability, sound technical judgement and a professional approach to every vehicle they work on.

The business is also committed to keeping its technicians’ skills up to date as vehicle technology continues to develop, including ongoing training around electric vehicles and newer vehicle systems.

THE ROLE

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You’ll Need

• Strong previous experience as an Automotive Technician
• Proven ability to identify and resolve vehicle faults
• An NVQ Level 2 or 3, City & Guilds or equivalent automotive qualification
• Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail
• The ability to work accurately and efficiently in a busy workshop
• A full UK driving licence
• A professional approach to quality, safety and customer service
• Main dealership experience
• Experience with electric or hybrid vehicles
