Job summary

Independent Printing & Packaging seeks a Foil Stamp Operator to set up and run Kluge and Brausse presses, performing foil stamping, embossing, and related postpress operations. You will ensure quality, efficiency, and safety while meeting production deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Review job tickets and identify discrepancies.
  • Set up and operate Kluge EHD Auto Platen and Brausse presses.
  • Perform makeready, adjustments, and run production to spec.
  • Inspect sheets for defects and manage startup materials.
  • Maintain safe, clean work area and report issues to supervision.
  • Communicate progress to Scheduler and Supervisor as needed.
  • Assist training of other employees as needed.

INDEPENDENT PRINTING & PACKAGING HAS AN EXCITING OPPORTUNITY FOR AFLUGE FOIL STAMP OPERATOR TO JOIN OUR FOIL TEAM!
Position Summary

The Kluge Foil Stamp Operator is responsible for setting up and operating the Kluge EHD Auto Platen Press and Brausse Platen Press to perform a variety of postpress operations. This position produces finished printed materials through processes including foil stamping, embossing, perforating, scoring, and die cutting while maintaining established quality, productivity, and safety standards.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review and interpret job tickets thoroughly, identifying and reporting any errors, discrepancies, or missing information.
  • Prioritize assigned jobs based on production schedules and deadlines while ensuring all required materials are available.
  • Perform complete makeready, setup, adjustment, and operation of platen presses.
  • Communicate completed jobs and any necessary information to the next production operation as indicated on the job ticket, giving priority to jobs with critical deadlines.
  • Monitor press operation to ensure proper quality, registration, and production standards are maintained.
  • Inspect sheets throughout the run to identify doubles, errors, or other defects, and properly remove or clearly identify makeready, spoiled, and startup sheets.
  • Load and unload the press and safely handle materials throughout the production process.
  • Operate material‑handling equipment to move paper, skids, and other materials into and out of the work area.
  • Monitor equipment performance and promptly notify the Supervisor of potential equipment or production issues.
  • Evaluate workload and production progress throughout the day and communicate with the Scheduler and/or Supervisor when additional time, materials, or work may be required due to unexpected conditions.
  • Maintain consistent quality control throughout the entire production run.
  • Take responsibility for meeting established quality and production requirements.
  • Immediately bring to the attention of the Supervisor or designated personnel any job that does not or may not meet quality or scheduling requirements due to defective or inadequate materials, equipment issues, inaccurate job planning, or scheduling concerns.
  • Assist with training and developing other employees as needed.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Follow all company and departmental safety policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Requirements
  • Self‑motivated team player with the ability to learn new tasks and processes quickly while maintaining high productivity and quality standards.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and mathematical skills.
  • Previous machine operation experience, including equipment setup, operation, troubleshooting, and quality control.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to accurately understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work.
Schedule

Full‑time, Hourly, First and Second shift available.

First is Monday – Friday 6:00 am- 2:00 pm

Second is Monday – Thursday 2:00 pm – 12:00 am

Starting Wage

This is an hourly position and beginning wage will be in line with experience.
