Job summary

The DHL Group hires a Kitting Technician in Phoenix for the 2nd shift (7:00pm–3:30am). You will assemble, inspect, clean and kit machined parts and bought-in items to create customized kits in a clean room environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining area and tools, handling inventory, and working independently or as part of a team to meet production goals. An associate degree and forklift certification are required or completed within 30 days.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in related field is required.
• 6 months experience in a complex kitting, assembly environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex assembly work of modified parts to produce customized kits.

Kitting Technician Role Profile

Role Purpose:

The kitting technician will be required to assemble, inspect, clean, package and kit machined parts and bought-in items necessary for various customized types of kits.

Key Accountabilities:

• Responsible to assemble components and produce quality work, free from errors in a clean room environment.
• Responsible for area and tool maintenance & cleanliness.
• Responsible for various complex assembly work of modified parts to produce customized kits.
• Responsible for inventory management and control.
• Knowledge and ability to use tools to assemble parts.
• Must be able to work independently and as part of a team to ensure production goals are met.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

• Associate Degree or equivalent in a related field of study
• Forklift operator certificate or satisfactory completion of a forklift-training program within the first 30 days of employment
• Must have 6 months experience in a complex kitting, assembly environment
