Job summary

Raymond Hadley Corp. seeks a detail-oriented employee to weigh ingredients, label bags with work order and lot information, and ensure accurate tracking of inventory for production steps. You will follow all food safety and quality procedures to protect product integrity and worker safety.

Job description

Position Summary:

The goal of this position is to safely and accurately weigh out amounts of raw ingredients from inventory, according to written work order instructions, and stage them for the next production step. This role is responsible for complying with all applicable food safety, quality, and human safety programs, policies, and regulatory requirements at all times.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
  • None
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Work safely and efficiently in accordance with all company defined policies and department specific standard operating procedures
  • Understand and comply with the company food safety & quality program, human safety program, and all other regulatory requirements to ensure the safe production of food.
  • Weigh out the correct amounts and clearly mark bags with the work order number, Item number, lot number, and weight of product.
  • Accurately and legibly label each work order with bin locations and lot numbers for all ingredients used.
  • Bring to the attention of the Team Lead, Supervisor, or Planner any material quantity and/or quality issues that could cause production downtime.
  • Follow procedures for Foreign Material with any foreign material found in product.
  • Operate the forklift assigned to the department in a safe manner.
  • Assist other departments as assigned.

Required Skills and Abilities:

Physical Requirements
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is required to stand and walk. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 60 pounds. Hazards: GMPs/other PPE are required when in direct contact with food and cleaning chemicals. Position requires 10 hours standing and working at a steady pace. Work safely around heavy equipment. Safely use knives and related instruments.
