Job summary

Commercial Sewing, Inc. in Torrington, CT is seeking an entry-level Kitter/Assembler to support daily production. This role performs sub-assembly tasks, including measuring, cutting, tying, and bartack operations on materials like Velcro and webbing.

Kitter/Assembler
Summary

This position is responsible for the proper kitting of all work orders as required the daily production schedule. Performs sub-assembly operations including measuring, cutting, tying, fastening and bar tacking materials such as Velcro, webbing, elastic, buckles, grommets as part of pre-sewn operation.

Essential Functions
  • Works with the department supervisor to perform all functions within the Kitting department
  • Assembles parts with hands and machinery to include; ability to measuring to 1/8 inch, operate light duty machines, measure/tying bungie, bartack (quick sewing) etc.
