Job summary

Flower City Group in Rochester, NY is seeking a Kitpacking Supervisor to ensure timely packing and orderly shipment of all kit packing jobs. You will set production line schedules, direct Line Leads, and verify job specifications with Customer Service to meet project requirements.

The role emphasizes quality, safety, and efficiency. Training on A shift may be required, with transition to B shift; lifting up to 25 pounds and standing for long periods are expected.

Qualifications

• Two-year degree or equivalent from a technical school.
• Two years of work experience or an equivalent of four years in the industry.
• Proven success in a warehouse or fulfillment environment.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills.
• Strong background in production/manufacturing scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily direction to Line Leads once schedule is set.
• Review first piece sample with Customer Service at the start of the job to verify specifications and assembly requirements.
• Set up production lines for kit packing projects and organize materials by job.
• Ensure quality requirements are understood by employees on the kit packing line.
• Coordinate first piece and during run quality checks with Quality team.
• Set hourly output targets based on quoted hours for each project.
• Work with Line Leads to optimize efficiencies and review processes.
• Complete scorecards and document hours charged to each job.
• Analyze line performance (actual vs estimated) and manage orderly breakdown and put-away of jobs.
