Job summary

The Salvation Army in Ladore is hiring a part-time Kitchen Worker to support the catering program, including food preparation, serving, and maintaining a clean, organized workspace.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, passing the ServSafe class, the ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for long periods, and a willingness to work weekends and some nights. Immediate start and comprehensive benefits are included.

  • Observe material handling guidelines for all chemicals.
  • Maintain neat and uniform appearance during work hours.
  • Perform related duties, as assigned.

Position: Kitchen Worker

Location: Ladore

Availability of Position: Immediate

Schedule: PT; Weekends and some nights

Salary/Grade: $15.00 per hour; 73; Non-Exempt

Responsibilities

Position Overview: The function of the Kitchen Worker (KW) is to support the operations of the Ladore catering program, including preparing and serving food, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, and adhering to food standards.

Description of Position:

  • Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen/dining room areas

  • Observe material handling guidelines for all chemicals
  • Maintain neat and uniform appearance during work hours

  • Pennsylvania's Child Protective Services Law requires that all prospective employees complete the following clearance and background checks: PA Child Abuse History Clearance, PA State Police Criminal Record Check, and PA DHS Criminal Record/Fingerprint Check. In addition, completion of a Pennsylvania approved Child Abuse Recognition and Reporting Training is necessary prior to employment.
  • Must understand and support for the Mission of The Salvation Army.
