Job summary

Wind Creek Hospitality in Miami, FL is seeking a Kitchen Worker (Utility Staff) to help keep food and beverage areas clean and organized, performing deep cleaning, area prep, storage organization, and safety compliance. • High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date as a condition of continued employment
• Strong Food and Beverage product knowledge
• Strong time management and organizational skills
• Must work with chemicals
• Ability to lift up to 50lbs
• Ability to stand for 8 hours
• Willing and able to work odd or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
• Must have a Gaming License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) as a requirement for this position
• Must have willingness and ability to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment

Responsibilities

• Deep cleans all kitchen ovens, sinks, freezers, coolers, griddles and other dirty restaurant equipment.
• Prepares all food and beverage areas.
• Cleans walls, floors and ceilings.
• Cleans and organizes all storage areas including the main freezer, cooler and dry storage.
• Assists in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness in all food and beverage areas.
• Follows all safety guidelines and organizational policies.
• Knowledgeable of the MSDS book.
• May assist with receiving orders.
• Ensures that all trash cans are changed on a regular basis.
• All other duties as needed.
