Job summary

Union Utility is seeking a dedicated Utility Team Member to support cafeteria operations. You will collect used dishes, load dishwashers, and ensure cleanliness throughout the facility. The role requires shift work, with occasional evenings or weekends, and contributes to delivering an outstanding guest experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced kitchen or restaurant environment.
• Ability to follow safety and sanitation rules.
• Flexible to work evenings and weekends.
• Reliable and punctual.

Responsibilities

• Collect used kitchenware from dining and kitchen areas
• Load and unload dishwashing machines
• Wash specific items by hand (e.g. wooden cutting boards, large pots and delicate china)
• Store clean pots, pans, dishes, glasses and equipment appropriately
• Ensure there are always enough clean pots, pans, dishes, glasses and utensils, especially during peak hours
• Maintain cleaning supplies stock (e.g. detergents) and notify supervisor when necessary
• Check washing machines’ operation and promptly report any technical/performance issues
• Remove garbage regularly
• Sanitize the kitchen area, including the floor, walls, doors and handles
