Job summary

TEAM Schostak Family Restaurants is seeking a General Utility to keep kitchen work areas, equipment, and dishware clean and sanitary, and to assist in food preparation in support of our core values. This on-site role involves standing for long periods, lifting up to 40 pounds, and working in a hot, damp environment.

You will operate and maintain the dishwashing area and help the team meet daily prep and cleanliness standards, with a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Follows safety and sanitation procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret basic instructions and schedules.
• Must be able to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and pre-rinses dirty dishes and loads the dishwasher.
• Washes pots, pans and trays by hand or machine.
• Completes all assigned prep work.
• Removes trash and garbage to dumpster area.
• Cleans work surfaces, equipment and floors.
• Cleans garbage cans and trash receptacles.
• Assembles and maintains dish machine.
• Transports cases up to 50 pounds up to 20 times daily.
• Places dishes and utensils on high and low shelves.
• Primarily indoor work with some outdoor tasks.
• Occasionally works in hot, damp environments.
• Responds to emergencies to ensure safety.
