Schostak Family Restaurants is seeking a General Utility to support Applebee's in Michigan. The role keeps kitchen areas, equipment and utensils clean and orderly, assists in food preparation, and helps uphold the company values and Roadmap.

The position involves dishwashing, basic prep, trash removal and light lifting in a team-focused environment. It requires standing for long periods and working in a hot, damp setting.

Responsibilities

• Scrapes and pre-rinses food from dirty dishes and places them in dishwashing machine.
• Washes pots, pans and trays by hand and/or machine.
• Completes all assigned prep work.
• Removes trash and garbage to dumpster area.
• Washes work area tables, walls, refrigerator equipment, cooking equipment and floors.
• Cleans garbage cans and trash receptacles.
• Assembles, maintains and breaks down dish machine.
• Transports cases up to 50 pounds up to 20 times per day.
• Works indoors (90%), outdoors (10%).
• Works in a hot and damp environment and responds to emergencies when needed.
