King Kamehameha Kona Beach Resort Courtyard by Marriott in Hawaii is hiring for a Full Time Kitchen Utility Person. The role involves general cleaning, transferring food items, and supporting banquet/luau areas to deliver a memorable guest experience.

Requirements include at least a high school diploma, 1 year of experience preferred, and TB clearance. English speaking or bilingual abilities are valued, with opportunities for growth within Marriott benefits package.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a friendly, courteous demeanor while providing personalized service to hotel guests.

• Clean and maintain food & beverage storage, preparation and service areas; ensure sanitary condition of china, glassware, silverware, and cookware.
• Assist with proper food storage and rotation.
• Transfer food items and required dishes to banquet and luau areas and guest plates.
• Perform tasks with little or no direct supervision.
• Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Rate of Pay: $21.73/hour

Brief Summary of Job: Performs general or specialized cleaning and other miscellaneous tasks, including transferring food items and required dishes to banquet and luau areas and guest plates.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities of the job include but are not limited to:

• Maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor at all times, while providing personalized service to hotel guests.
• Communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members.
• Responsible for all activities pertaining to cleaning and maintaining the food & beverage storage, preparation and service areas and materials and ensures sanitary condition of all china, glassware, silverware, and cookware and serving utensils.
• Assists with proper food storage and rotation.
• Transfers food items and required dishes to banquet and luau areas and guest plates.
• Performs routine tasks under little or no direct supervision.
• Provide assistance to other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel.
• Perform other duties as assigned, requested or deemed necessary by management.

Requirements Knowledge/Education/Experience: One (1) year experience preferred. High school or equivalent education. TB clearance card required.
