Part-Time Kitchen Utility Associate
Kitchen Utility Associate team members assist with ensuring the health and well‑being of residents by performing dishroom tasks, daily cleaning of food production areas, and sanitation duties.
Salary
$15.60 / hr – $18.31 / hr
Responsibilities
- Clears, scrapes, and places dishes and utensils into the dish machine, empties the machine, and stores dishes after air drying.
- Cleans dish machine, sinks, and counters; removes garbage from the work area and kitchen.
- Maintains equipment clean and in good condition.
- Disposes garbage properly in the outside receptacle.
- Monitors floors by mopping after each meal.
- Follows daily cleaning lists.
- Assists in clearing dining tables when needed.
- Assists with receiving and storing food deliveries.
- Replenishes soap for sinks and detergent for dish machine as needed.
- Attends facility meetings, staff meetings, and required or preferred in‑services.
- Performs all duties according to safety rules, required protocols, and the facility’s safety standards.
- Demonstrates understanding and application of all policies and procedures.
- Uses the electronic time‑keeping system as directed.
- Arrives on time, regularly, and works as scheduled.
- Follows dress code and wears name tag at all times.
- Observes policy regarding electronic devices, computers, tablets, etc.

- Abides by Elderwood’s Code of Conduct, Compliance, and HIPAA policies.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor, management staff, or Administrator.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 16 years of age.
- Employment Certificate/Permit required for applicable individuals.
- Prior customer service experience.
- ServSafe certification or willingness to obtain.
- Physical stamina to sustain constant activity.
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Experience in food service, hospitality, serving, or restaurant preferred.
- Regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, or supervisors; ability to read, write, speak, and understand English at an intermediate or greater level.
